It's all about beauty with Kate Tokyo 3D eye create!

Sorry for the leg behind, it's my sisters!

Honestly, i was skeptical on getting this product as there was not much information i could read on about it but this tool surprised me, it's so natural no one even know you're wearing make up! The product that i'm gonna review tonight is called the Kate Tokyo 3D Eye create, it was just released this month (August), and it's selling like hot cakes! Anyways from the word "eye create" you might have already guess what it is used for. If you thought what i thought it's used for, then NO! Little did i know, it wasn't only for use on the eye socket or to have aegyo eyes like those koreans but also nose contouring. (Didn't see that coming huh? I didn't at first). I don't usually contour my nose or use any much make up. But this incredible tool made contouring so natural that people can't tell whether did you or did you not contour them. I'm holding the product in my hand with my bare face! Well just to tell you guys in case, you thought i might have already used it to take a photo. Hehe. I'll attached a photo below on how natural it is below for you girls to take a look at. If however you girls are satisfied after seeing the picture, you can purchase it at certain outlets in Singapore, it's retailed at $23.50. I'll typed down the "certain place" below for you girls. Its a wee pricey but it's definitely worth a shot if you wanna achieve a sharper natural nose and those cute lil eyes like koreans just by contouring! It's a powder like on sponge, the deep shadow is for contouring of eye socket and nose, while the highlight is for the undereye waterline to make aegyo eyes. But however you can do contouring of anything with just this tool. The pictures are attached below.

Keeping fit!

As promised, i'm gonna do a post on my weight lost journey.

A quote to remember "If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you." - Fred Devito. What could you understand from this quote? Well this is for you to ask yourselves. People give redundant reasons like " I have no time to exercise/I'm tired/It's hot/I'm sick/I'm lazy.. etc" Well to be honest, i was one of those redundant human who gave those excuse as stated above. So i know different reasons! Well i'm not from any sports CCA (I used to be in track, but i kinda sprain my calves and ankle real bad from a fall) I'm not in any sought of sports related course or whatsoever. I mean you don't have to be in one to keep fit, it's whether YOU wanna keep fit. Well let me tell you why i decided to keep fit and how did i managed to be "Elly" again.

I was always weighing at <45 Kg since i was young. I had high metabolism and i didn't have to worry about how skinny or how fit i looked because no matter how much i eat i won't gain. But unfortunately, it didn't last as i expected. I went into a new school with a new environment, meeting new people and delicious delicacies were sold in shops like NTUC, Kuofu, Central delight and watson. Sound like a shopping center? No that's just my school! Food there tasted awesome and i couldn't stop eating. During lunch, I didn't only ate set meals, but i had like at least another ala carte dish (nuggets, fries and all other fattening fried food) and this wasn't just one day. It was repetition for the last 14 month! You wouldn't believe me if i said i was a 43 and slowly i gained to 45 then 49 and my most shocking weight of all time........

56 KG

56 Kg in the last 14 months, impossible huh! 13 Kg in the last 14 month. Yeah yeah, you guys are gonna say " I thought you had high metabolism" blah blah blah. Like i said i didn't thought things would turn out this way. Well when i was 56 Kg, i still didn't bother to lose weight, cause my then boyfriend said he would still love me and whatever bull crap but haha, it turn out the other way, he left and also that point of time i didn't gave a shit what society had to say about how my looks. Well i was wrong, not in the sense that i have to lose weight to please society but instead I was gonna prove to the society that well if i can put on a lot of weight, i can shed them off and bring back them figure 8 back. People would look at me and say "You? exercise? Please" or things like calling me names like " Gemok princess (Fat princess)" or things like " Elle, i have kids and i'm still skinnier than you" Well peeps, in the last 5 months i shed off 10 Kg off that redundant 56 kg and i'm weighing at 46 Kg now. Again, in 14 months i gained 13 kg, and in the last 5 month (Including this month) i shed 10 Kg. It wasn't an easy journey, i mean challenges in life ain't easy either, am i right? I tried many slimming product for an easy way out, but throw that mindset people, it wont work. I tried products such as those Slimming socks/hand socks and different slimming pills and product just to lose weight, well it just made me sick and depress, as no results were shown and it made me feeling sick everyday. Those slimming shirt, socks and hand socks aren't allowing your blood to circulate properly as it's extremely tight! I tried different traditional pills, but it made me really sick. I tried slimming creams, guess what non of this shit work. Just a waste of money (for me, if it works on you, good) I'll attached pictures of things i used and my advice, if you are planning to lose weight, DO NOT DO WHAT I DID! EVEN IF YOU'RE DESPERATE!!

This are items i used :

(Credits to google image)

*I'm gonna tell you the things you should actually do.
Results may vary. (how much you shed = to how right you do on these advises)

1. Before you eat for breakfast, drink warm/hot water WITH lemon. Every morning, reason being this is to flush out all your toxins and undigested leftover in your tummy. Drink before eating anything for breakfast.

2. Cut down on the portion of carbo into half. Lets' say if you always eat a full bowl of rice, cut it into half and drink ice water 30 mins before eating. Who said if you wanna lose weight, you have to eat whole meal bread or brown rice?

3. Have 3 meals a day but everything has to cut into half. If you wanna reduce your tummy capacity, have 1 meal a day (It's not recommended, but this is to reduce your tummy capacity, i did it). If you wanna have 1 meal a day, this is what you should do:

Morning : Drink 500ml of ice water with lemon. You do not have to gulp down everything at once. Take your time.

Lunch: This is when your 1st meal starts. Have late lunch that means in between late lunch and early dinner. Have your first meal from about 3-4 pm. I'll tell you the reason on the 4th advice.

Dinner: If you still feel hungry, test yourself. You may not be hungry but maybe your tummy is dehydrated. If you're full by just drinking water after you claim you're "hungry" then it means your tummy is thirsty. If its otherwise, munch on biscuits and drink lots of plain water with lemon.

4.*( applicable to those who wanna try the 1 meal a day challenge.) Reason why i ask you to have your meal from 3-4 pm. You need 2 hours interval for your food to digest properly. You need to get it digested or you'll puke out on your workouts.

5. Exercise!! Yup you need it. You don't have to be in the gym to shed those pounds. Don't be a cardio bunny please! Whats the point working out in an air condition when you're gonna buy fish and chips after all those treadmill runs? Start running around your neighborhood or on track. You don't have to run everyday. Run alternate days. Like if you start running on Monday, run on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday or otherwise. For at least 30 mins*

*reason being 15 mins workout = to only burning of sugar and excess carbs eaten.
30 mins= to burning of sugar, excess carbs eaten and your body is entering the fat burning zone.

6. Do pilates for body toning. You won't look nice after shedding those pounds leaving skins to flop. Follow blogilates on youtube! She has the best pilate workout. Do pilates on the days you aren't running, trust me you'll burn those skins. (not literally)

Notice i emphasized a lot on drinking water? Because water is an essential to our daily life. Drink at least 8 cups of water. or if you don't wanna drink water, drink green tea. No not those heaven and earth or any other bottle brand, i really mean packet green tea with no sugar. This is another drink to detoxify your digestive system. This is what i did to shed off those pounds. I go to gym on days i want to as i don't feel it's really that necessary if you have your yoga mat to tone your body.

Pictures below are pictures of me from me weighing from 43-56 kg and back down to 46 kg recently.

 43 KG

45 KG

56 kg

And after those workouts, i came down back to this:

50 Kg

Me now! 46 kg

I don't plan to stop keeping fit, as for now, I'm having my internship, i run everyday at night just to shed off those carbs and sugars i consume at work. I hope this post was somehow a motivation to those who sincerely want to keep slim and fit. Good luck to you!

xoxo, Elly Zoe!
PS: Forgive me if there is/was/were any grammatical/sentence structure/vocabulary or used of wrong words in my post. Wrote a long post, i sure didn't bother to read through all over again. Leave a comment if you need to know anything else, ill be delighted to help!

Oh no Shafiq turns 2!

My lil honey bunny nephew turned 2 today. Watched him grew from when he was a baby in a cradle to a boy who keeps calling "BIK BIK, TUK TUK, NEK NEK, MAN MAN AND WAK" We're Javanese so instead of calling auntie or uncle we address ourselves as what is mentioned above. Bik is for the younger aunt, Tuk means grandfather, Nek stands for grandmother and Man (its not being pronounced as men, i don't now how to explain..... haha, well you kinda get the point)

My lil boy is growing up too fast. Just a year ago i got him a castle tent and this year guess what i got for him? *Drum roll* hehe, well i just got him Nike kicks for him to wear. Shafiq is my one and only nephew for now, and of course i love him sooooo much. He brought me smiling when i'm feeling down, with his cuteness and activeness. No words can describe how much i love him. Anyways, earlier on we sang him a birthday song, he was clapping and clapping till we sang in a different language where he went like " when am i gonna blow out the candles man" His face was priceless and him feeding me cake? Best feeling ever for the entire day. Tho he hates taking pictures with me, hehe "SHAFIQ BIK ELLY DON'T CARE :P" Cause i love taking pics with him. I mean not even his mama could stop me from leaving a lipstick stain on his cheeks. Hehe! I took videos and snap pictures of my lil boy for memento, gonna post just some of it. Quality kinda suckish because i took using my phone. Samsung Note 3 camera sucks! Haha. Anyways here are the pics and vid! Enjoy! :)

*Vid is up, and post is vetted*

See told you how much he hates taking pics with me

That was a gift from my parents, (his grandparents) look how impatient he is. Sucha cutie 3.142!

Oh look Shafiq's riding already! He keeps moving, hence the blurry picture!

Oh come on Shafiq, Bik Elly loves you hence the big kiss! Hehe. :* Mwah!

Cupcakes Birthday cake, Happy 2nd Shafiq!

Urgh suchaaaaa cutie!

"Tuk tuk!" he keeps calling his grandfather for his cake, cause everyone has except him (birthday boy) Hehe!

Look at him eating his cake! If i can bite your cheeks off i would :P

Look at him feeding me! Don't mind me hairline, I pulled it to the side!

Look at him being grumpy cause his grandfather was pasting the decals on his bike and he keeps saying " TUK TUK!" standard line. HAHA!

Engrossed on his new toy gun!

For my lil boy, this is the kicks i got for him!

Look at his reaction when the 3rd birthday song came out in different language! Hahaha!! (Finally i could upload it up).

Happy birthday lil kiddo! As you grow old, my love for you grows twice for for ya! I pray that you'll be a good kid towards your parents and your grandparents and even me! As you grow older, things will get lil harder each day but don't worry, you still have a long way for that. May god bless you always Muhammad Shafiq. Bik Elly will always love you! Mwah :*

PS: I didn't strangle him, he was struggling to get out of my hands. Hence the pic depicts! HAHAHA. Thats my big hug for him. Happy birthday Lil Kiddo :*

Eating at Manhattan!

Well this is my first blog post, so i think i'll blog about my virgin trip to Manhattan Fish Market. Don't judge me! I haven't had the time to explore around trying different food. Anyways, we had a deluxe platter which was totally awesome. Oh and you know what made the food even better? It was definitely the company. I went to Manhattan with the aunt and cousin. Tho it wasn't of a full family, these peeps were enough to make me happy, but i think if it was with the other family members it would had been a splendid dinner.

Anyways my first prior experience was great, tho it was extremely crowded i think out of 10 i would have given 8 for the food and customer service wise, hmm... 9/10 definitely. Oh and i did forget to mention which outlet I've been. I've been to the outlet at Plaza Singapura, dhoby ghaut. Customer service was awesome tho it was crowded, staff there managed to multi-task. Delivery of food, was alright. Time taken for our drinks came later than expected, but we kinda understood the crowd situation but ohwells! Haha. We had well at least 11 dishes on the table (excluding drinks). We had the baked salmon, deluxe platter, the mini platter, mussel aglio olio, fish and chips and clam chowder. But all of this was multiplied to 2 (excpt the aglio olio, deluxe platter and the small platter). It was so filling, that we had to share the rice among 5 ( the rice came with the deluxe platter mind you, haha)

We walked like panda's out of the restaurant, barely moving/walking straight. Haha. Which is a good thing right? Yes? No? HAHA. I think you guys should really check the outlet over at dhoby, staff there are attentive to your needs and orders. Well telling you guys this in case you're gonna say "every restaurant customer service is the same" uhhh NO! I've been to tons previously (before schedule turned busy), and Manhattan, Plaza Singapura was the one that brought me smiling after months of not visiting a restaurant.

As the day came to an end, we took photos and made our way back home. These are some snaps of pictures (actually not some, i guess all?) HAHA. The food we indulged.
